Looking in to The Sims 3 by: Neb | Edited by: Hazeleyedgrl

With the Sims 3 less than a year away, I have grown to love the game and yet we know so little about it. When I heard that the Sims 3 was going to contain a completely seamless neighborhood, complete with townies that live their own lives, make their own decisions, interact with others, and grow older with you, I was completely flabbergasted! I had longed for this in The Sims 2, and finally, my dream would be a reality in this next giant leap forward to The Sims 3! And then after looking at pictures, reading articles, and even dedicating a website to The Sims 3, I was even more amazed. The Sims 3 looks like it will easily take the cake as the most advanced and creative games in The Sims legacy.
Other than the seamless neighborhood, another major aspect I’m really looking forward to is the Traits system. Being able to choose definitive words to create your Sim’s own unique personality, other than assigning them numerical values for only 5 characteristics, is something that will create a more diverse world of Sims. Having Sims that are “Good” and “Evil” and “Genius” and “Inappropriate” and even “Kleptomaniac” will provide simmers with such unlimited creativity that it would be nearly impossible to make 2 Sims personalities identical, as some were in The Sims 2. Sims will be so diverse that, if, for example, two Sims see the same sunset on the beach, they will each go home and create completely different paintings of the exact same sunset. Our little Sims finally have minds of their own.
The entire Create-a-Sim has been renovated and recreated. Weight and muscle sliders were added, shoes are now separate from outfits, every outfit can be customized to fit whatever you’re looking for, and Sims facial features will have much more detail built into them. There has not been much information on the building features of The Sims 3, though I’m sure it will be a giant leap forward from The Sims 2 after looking over the pictures and looking at the other aspects of the game.
Overall, The Sims 3 is bound to be a success, and with articles popping up all over the internet, we learn more and more about the game every day! These are just a few looks at The Sims 3! Keep checking in with each new issue of The Blabbity to find more details on the game.
